Training and Internship

The Training and Internship Unit aims to raise levels of awareness on the inequality that exists between men and women in society and analyze its causes and effects. It also strives to build of organizations to mainstream gender into policy, plan, project, and programs. It provides civil servants and local authorities with the requisite conceptual framework as well as methodological tools to carry out gender related activities in ministerial work.

Advocacy and Networking

The Advocacy and Networking Unit, meanwhile, works to raise the levels of awareness on gender issues in Cambodia through the combined use of networks, campaigns, publications and public forum activities. Specifically, it lobbies at the national level with legislators and policy makers to be mindful of incorporating gender principles into all laws and policies to make sure both men and women are equally benefited from these. The unit also supports the networks (GADNet) to enhance their skills and capacity on gender perspectives.

Community Outreach

The Community Outreach Unit works to develop and disseminate gender information and laws at grassroots levels. Specifically, the unit works to empower women through legal awareness. The unit builds women’s support groups at the community level for their legal empowerment.
